It’s Time to Talk About Environmental Racism

In this episode of Our Future Now!, National Children’s Campaign co-founders Natalie Mebane and Jonah Gottlieb are joined by Kayley Chery, people of color Coordinator for Extinction Rebellion Youth in New York City, and Ayisha Siddiqa co-founder of Polluters Out and Fossil Free University to outline their upcoming protest in New York City on September 25th. They also talk about the importance of BIPOIC leadership in the environmental movement and how environmental racism has centered on majority black and brown communities in New York City.
